The Presbyterian Church Choir of Ruston is a volunteer group singing a wide variety of selections to praise and worship the Lord. The choir consists of four parts- soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Currently, the group is made up of adults, but teenage singers are welcome. The singers are strong music readers, which aids the choir in singing an anthem each Sunday morning, September through May. The choir is on hiatus in June, July, and August. Solos, duets, and small group selections fill the anthem part of the church service during those months.
The choir rehearses each week on Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm February through May, and September/October. November through January the choir rehearses 3:45-4:45. Wednesday rehearsals are in the choir room. The choir goes through the Sunday morning music service at 10:15 am in the sanctuary.
Special music services during the year are the Maundy Thursday service, Hanging of the Green on the first Sunday of the Advent season, and a Lessons in Carols service the third Sunday of Advent.
